Mix media with watercolor bird painted on a handmade botanical print made from using real leaves. 100% cotton watercolor paper is soaked in water with a mordant that draws the colors off the leaves. Bundles of paper and leaves are steamed for 2 to 4 hours. Size is 18x22 including a gallery frame that is 2” deep. Painting is adhered to a canvas and varnished and sealed with cold wax.
